   THROTON   HoleShotc

 The Basics

A basketball court is divided into four zones, two zones for each team. One offensive zone and one defensive zone.

The team's defensive zone is the area within the three point arc under the basket.

The team's offensive zone is the area starting at half court and extends to the three point arc surrounding their basket.

The THROTON Capture Targets are attached to each basketball rim. These targets are designed to absorb the shock of a THROTON impact and drop it through the basketball hoop while protecting the rim and backboard.

Half of the team is stationed in the team's offensive zone, the other half in the defensive zone underneath the basket.

THROTONs are distributed to the players in the Defensive zones, one to each defensive player.

The PE Instructor signals the start of play and the THROTONs start flying. Players pass to their teammates in the offensive zone, who shoot and the game cycle begins.

Game End: The PE Instructor signals that - once a THROTON passes through the basket (scores), it is out of play. When all 12 THROTONs have been shot out of play, the period is over. The game action intensifies as the players realize the THROTONs are running out. They focus more intently on the remaining balls and the game play around the remaining balls rises.

Picture 24 gym students, 12 THROTONs, 4 zones of action and two targets 10 feet in the air - chaos and game play. Every player has a role, every player has a goal.

This is a fully assembled, no tools required, complete game system.
